Axon allows call recording when used with VRS Multichannel Voice Recorder. If VRS and Axon are installed on the same computer they should discover each other and configure lines automatically. Otherwise, you will need to configure both products to support recording manually. For Axon, you will need to set a VRS Host name and Access Code. These can be edited from the extension properties page, and are shared by all Extensions and External Lines in Axon. For more information on these parameters, see the help for configuring Extensions. For information on configuring VRS, please refer to that product's help documentation.

Recording Rules

You may notice that extensions all have an option to record outgoing calls, while external lines only have the option to record incoming calls. This is a bit confusing at first, but completely intentional. The reason is that when all calls are recorded from the originating side there will never be duplicate recordings for things like recording extension-to-extension calls if both extensions are set to record both incoming and outgoing calls. You can record all calls by selecting the record option for all extensions and external lines.
