The Web Access tab allows you to configure access for the Axon Web Control Panel.

To set up the control panel, you must first specify a username and password to use as your logon details. Next, specify what port on which you would like the control panel to run. The default port is 81, and we recommend that if you change it you do not use port 80, because that port is often used by other web servers.

To access the control panel from the Axon computer, the easiest way is just to click on one of the hyperlinks shown in the dialog window or click on the "Web Control" button on the toolbar of the main Axon window. To access the control panel from another computer on your LAN or the Internet, use the following formatting when typing the URL into your web browser:

If you plan on connecting to your web control panel from other computers, you will need to make sure your firewall is not blocking access. The easiest way to do this is by clicking the "Add Port to Windows Firewall" button. If you have a more complex network configuration (like a hardware firewall for example) you may need to manually create an exception. You may need to contact your network administrator for this.

Enable connection through relay server

A relay server is a tool to allow you to connect your PC to the World Wide Web without needing any special network configuration. Traffic from the weblet is routed through a public server using a simple internet address like http://sampleaddress.users.nchuser.com/. Pages can even be viewed over a secure (HTTPS) connection to guarantee that transmitted information is safe. Pages viewed through the relay server will have a few advertisements placed on them to help keep this service free. You can still view the weblet from the private and public addresses (see examples above) without advertisements even if this option is turned on.

Connections through the relay server should not require any firewall configuration as long as your machine can connect to the internet.
