Microphone

Select this option to capture sound from a microphone device.

You can also open "System Preferences" to adjust the input volume by pressing the "System Mixer" button.

Speakers

Select this option to be able to use a virtual audio device that Debut will use to capture the system audio. This is typically "Debut Virtual Device". You can click the "Remove Driver" button to remove the virtual device driver.

Play through device

Select this option to select an output device, e.g. "Built-in Output" where Debut will send all the audio that Debut records. This is particularly useful in preventing high pitch audio feedback when recording system audio and the microphone at the same time.

Tone

With these options you can choose to have a tone play when Debut starts or stops recording.

In some environments you are required to play a tone while recording. To do this, tick the box "Sound record tone every (secs)" and enter the number of seconds between tones in the edit box.

Sound record tone when recording starts

Enable this option if you want a short beep sound once recording starts.

Sound stopped tone when recording stops

Enable this option if you want a short beep sound once recording stops.

Sound record tone every (seconds)

Enable this option if you want a short beep sound every specified number of seconds.
