Selected PDFs in the main Doxillion file list can be compressed using either lossless or lossy compression by clicking the "Compress PDFs" button on the toolbar or by selecting "Tools->Compress PDF(s)..." or right-clicking and selecting "Compress PDFs" from the popup menu option. Note: The Compress PDFs feature is activated when there is at least 1 PDF file in the file list.
Image Compression Lossy Compression - compresses image data within the PDF in such a way that the original data will incur data loss during decompression. Data loss depends on the Compression Quality and may result to a smaller file size. Compression Quality can be set from 1 to 100.
Lossless Compression - compresses image data within the PDF in such a way that the original data does not incur any data loss during decompression.
Save Location - Same as source file - uses the same path as the input PDFs
- Select output path - by clicking the browse button, it allows user to select output path
Append number to filename
- Checkbox is checked - '-N' suffix will be appended to the filename (where 'N' starts from 1)
- Checkbox is unchecked - output filename will be the same as the input filename and if the output path is same as the input path , the input file will be overwritten
