This dialogue allows you to select settings for all functions of Express Burn.
Temporary Data Folder
For authoring Video DVDs, Express Burn can use a large amount of temporary data. A full DVD can use up to 5GB of data. This option allows you to select the folder Express Burn will use for this data. By default it will use your users standard temporary data folder. To reset the folder back to the default, just remove the folder details (i.e., blank the folder) and it will be automatically reset.
Disable Load/Eject
This option prevents discs being automatically ejected at the end of burning or automatically being loaded at the start. Please note that often times the newly burned data cannot be read until the disc has been ejected and then reloaded.
Some drives, mainly under Windows 95/98, crash when Express Burn ejects the tray. This appears to be a fault in their ASPI layer. To prevent this crashing use this option.
Normalize the volume level of audio
This option allows you to edit the Normalization level that you use to apply to audio tracks. So audio tracks that are either too loud or too soft will be readjusted to a more comfortable volume level. It will be in put in percentage (95 - 105) of audio level compared to 0dB - where:
100%: the adjusted audio level will be as close to 0dB as possible
Use internal codec first
This option will make Express Burn use its internal codec, otherwise it will attempt to use DirectShow first and then the internal engine. This allows for a maximum of formats to be supported. Some 3rd party codecs can crash Express Burn so turning this on may fix such crashes.
Create a looped video DVD
This option allows you to create a looped DVD if it has no menu. A looped DVD plays over and over again, starting over at the beginning when it's reached the end of the last video file. A DVD with menu cannot be looped.
Modified/Creation Date
On a data disc there can be only one date present. This option allows you to choose to use the file's last modified date or the file's creation date.
