Overview

Zip files are a defacto standard for compressing and archiving data on many different platforms.

FileFort backups in Zip archive format are stored with a ".bkz" file extension.

FileFort does allow you to create backups in .zip format from the Backup Type page by checking the Create a .zip archive option.

Limitations

• The maximum size of the archive is dependent on the storage file system and the space available.
• File-names that use characters other than those in the default system code page cannot be backed up or restored correctly.
