You can check your IVM messages in any Mailbox by dialing into IVM.

You must have your mailboxes named numerically (i.e. 101, 102, 103, etc. NOT Mailbox 1, Mailbox 2, etc.).

To start the setup process, your Mailbox must have the "Remote Access (check messages by telephone)" option selected in the mailbox properties and the access code entered. This can be found in the mailbox settings, from the mailboxes tab click on the mailbox name or edit icon for the mailbox to view or edit these properties.

Note: Your access code needs to be between 4 and 9 digits long, and no longer has to be unique for each mailbox, as of version 4.20.

You must also make sure the Answering IVR prompt/OGM has "Access Mailbox Control" as the key response option for "Press *". To do this select the IVR profiles tab in the IVM user interface, and double click the IVR/OGM profile that you are using. Then, in the OGM properties, scroll down to the "Key Response Settings" and make sure the * option has the proper response enabled. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page to save and return to the profile list.

To access your Mailbox, when the call is answered, press the * key. Then enter your mailbox number followed by the # key. When prompted, enter in your access code followed by the # key.

You will then be played any new messages. The options are:

1. Play the Message Again

2. Keep the Message and Skip to Next

3. Transfer to another Mailbox (see below)

5. Delete Message

8. Enter Mailbox Setup

9. End the Call (Goodbye)

*. Access Another Mailbox

#. Keep the Message and Skip to Next

If you press 8, you can enter Mailbox Setup to record your personal greeting. The Mailbox setup options are:

1. Play Personal Greeting

2. Record Personal Greeting

5. Stop (Play or Record)

9. End the Call (Goodbye)

*. Another Mailbox

#. Stop

To transfer a message to another mailbox press 3 followed by the first few digits of the other mailboxes access code and then #. IVM transfers the message to the first mailbox starting with the specified digits. For example if mailbox 1111 has access code 101234 then pressing 3 1111 # will transfer the current message to that mailbox.
