If you have already completed the Setup Wizard to set up an answering machine skip ahead to step 6 to customize your configuration.

Step 1: Run the Setup Wizard
If the Setup Wizard is not open, you can start it by choosing the "Run Setup Wizard..." option under the File menu.

Step 2: Select "Answering Machine (no PBX)"

Step 3: Configure Telephone Line(s)
On this page you will need to add any telephone lines that you want IVM to be able to answer.

If you have Axon installed you may see an additional setup page asking which Axon lines you would like to ring on IVM. Select the lines that you will be using for your IVM installation so that these will connect to IVM correctly.

Step 4: Configure Mailbox(es)
Select the number of mailboxes that you want to have. If you select one mailbox IVM will go straight to the mailbox when it answers a call. If you have multiple mailboxes the caller will be asked to enter an extension for the mailbox they wish to leave a message in, the mailbox numbers will start at one and go up to zero for a total of up to ten mailboxes.
If you would like to be able to access your messages through a web browser select the "Enable mailboxes to be accessed via a network and Web browser"

Step 5: Complete Wizard

Step 6: Changing your Voicemail Greeting(s)
Double click on the voice mailbox you want to change the greeting for. This will open the General Mailbox Properties. If you selected a single mailbox it will be named 'voicemail,' if you selected multiple mailboxes the will be numbered starting from '1' up to '10'.

Step 7: Test your system with call simulator
Use the Call Simulator to test.
