Recording Messages

From the "Audio" tab of the Application Settings you can set the minimum and maximum recording times for voicemail messages and other audio recording take by IVM such as a mailbox user calling in to change their voicemail greeting with remote telephone access, or any other key responses set to record a file in your OGMs. These settings can be overridden for individual mailboxes from within the Mailbox Properties, otherwise all incoming messages will be limited to meet these requirements.

Record Detect Level

This is for automatic voice activated recording and for end of call (silence) detection. If messages are not recorded fully, reduce this level (to say -36dB). If messages do not stop at the end of the call, increase this level (to say -15dB).

Delete Messages

IVM automatically deletes in-coming messages after a set number of days. You can change the number of days using this setting. A value of 0 means the messages will never be automatically deleted.

Delivery Audio Compression Format

Set the audio compression format for sending messages as attachments to an email address, or uploading to a FTP server or LAN (Local Area Network), you can use a number of different codecs to compress the audio (to reduce the file size and download time). Audio always records to the same format (telephone quality - 8kHz Mono) but prior to sending this codec will be applied

Play Device and Volume

These settings are for the device and volume of voicemail messages listed to through the main window of the of the IVM application interface, or listening to the Default OGM also on the local machine from the main IVM window.
