The Thumbnail Creator Tool produces an image that can be used as a thumbnail for videos in media platforms. To use the tool simply add a photo using the available options. Loaded photo can then either be cropped to get the desired thumbnail photo or can be made to fit a set aspect ratio.
Thumbnail Type Select the type of thumbnail to be created. Presets are available for supported video media platforms along with their supported thumbnail sizes.
Image Options A base thumbnail may be added using these available options:
- Load Image from local folders.
- Video Frame can be selected from a loaded video.
- Webcam Photo will capture an image through a webcam.
- Website Image can be loaded by providing a valid image link.
- Screen Snip will allow capturing a snippet from the current available screens.
- Capture Window will capture a selected window.
- Image can also be loaded by dragging a valid file on the preview area of the dialog.
Other Image Options A base thumbnail may also be added from the predefined image options provided.
Text and Image Overlays Add various types of overlay on the thumbnail. These can be resized and repositioned over the thumbnail. Available options:
- Text will add a simple text overlay.
- Curved Text will add a text overlay curved to a specific shape.
- Clipart can be added from predefined images to insert an image overlay.
- Other options for adding image overlay are Load Image, Video Frame, Webcam Photo, Website Image, Screen Snip, and Capture Window.
- Selecting an option from Add Overlay will insert an overlay.
- Rotation will update the rotation of the selected overlay
- Move to Front will move the selected overlay one step forward among other overlays.
- Move to Back will move the selected overlay one step back among other overlays.
- Font Face will update the text font.
- Font Style is used for various style changes. Use the B button for bold, the I button for italics, and the U button for underlined text. Then use the color button to adjust text color.
- Font Size will update text size.
- Alignment can be used to adjust the horizontal (left, center, right) and vertical (top, center, bottom) alignment of the text.
- Font Face will update the text font.
- Font Style is used for various style changes. Use the B button for bold, the I button for italics, and the U button for underlined text. Then use the color button to adjust text fill color.
- Font Size will update text size
- Outline is used for updating the outline of the text. Change the value to adjust the font size. Then use the color button to adjust the text outline color.
- Curve Type can be used to change the shape pattern of the text.
Thumbnail Properties Thumbnail Properties may be further adjusted before creating the thumbnail:
- Resolution can be adjusted to change thumbnail width and height.
- Aspect Ratio can be adjusted to change the ratio of width and height.
- Fit to Aspect Ratio when checked, will stretch the image to fit the given aspect ratio. Otherwise if this is off, then crop option will be available.
- Image Format of thumbnail image output can be selected.
- Projected Size will show an estimate image file size output.
