This tab controls how data about program and website usage are collected, and how screenshots are collected and stored.
Activities
This option turns on and off program logging.
This option turns website logging on and off.
This is the minimum time a program must be active before it will generate a log entry. If a program is not active for at least this length of time, there might be a gap between log entries.
This is the maximum time a program will be active before a log entry will be generated. If a program is active longer than this, an entry will be created with the current number of keystrokes and mouse clicks. These numbers will then be reset and a new entry will be started.
Screenshots
This option turns on and off screenshot taking
If this option is selected, the screenshots taken will only be of the active window, not the entire screen.
If this option is selected, the screenshots taken will be of the entire desktop as displayed on the monitor.
This is the minimum time that Verity will wait after taking a screenshot before it will allow another screenshot to be taken. If the user is switching between programs rapidly, this will prevent screenshots from being taken of all active screens until this time elapses.
This is the maximum time Verity will wait before taking another screenshot. If the active program has not changed within this timeframe, another screenshot will be taken.
Chat Monitoring
This option turns on and off chat monitoring.
This is the minimum time in seconds that Verity will wait between the screenshots for chat programs listed in the text box below.
This is a list of chat program executables that are to be monitored under the chat monitoring scheme. Separate individual entries with commas, e.g., skype.exe, yahoomessenger.exe, googletalk.exe.
