The transcript editor tool recognises the speech within a clip, and generates a transcript from this information. It then allows you to modify the clip by modifying the transcript. To use this feature, choose any audio clip or video clip that has audio. Then, go to the Voice tab and click the Transcript Editor button. A transcript of the clip will be generated. The transcript will be divided into phrases. You can see each phrase by hovering over the transcript with your mouse. The phrase that your mouse is over will be highlighted.

Moving a phrase in a transcript

To move a phrase in a transcript, simply click and drag it to your desired location.

Splitting a transcript

To split between phrases in a transcript, hover your mouse over the space between the phrases. A bar line will appear to indicate where the split will occur. Click with your mouse to make the split.
