Axon has an internal voice mail system that will take messages for unanswered calls. This feature must be turned on for the Axon system through the System Settings and then again for each extension that will use it. By default the voice mail service runs on extension 500, but this can be changed from the system settings as well.

Once an extension is configured for voice mail, a user can call in to the voice mail extension to configure a personal greeting and check messages. The voice mail box can also be accessed and configured through the Axon web control.

Dialing In:
  1. From the extension:
Dial the voice mail extension. The system may prompt you for a PIN number depending on how it is set up. After this is complete you will be at the voice mail main menu.
  2. From an external extension or line: (requires access from an external phone be enabled)
Dial the extension number that you would like to check the voice mail on. While the greeting is playing press the star (*) key. The system will prompt you for a PIN number. After this is entered you will be at the voice mail main menu.
