The New/Edit Schedule panel allows for creating and editing schedules associated with a project. To open this panel, click the Schedules menu and select New Schedule, or if an existing schedule is selected in the data panel select Edit Schedule from the Schedule menu. This panel may also be opened by double-clicking on any schedule listed in the data panel.

Name

Enter a name for the schedule that is not in use by any other schedule.

Hours Available

For each day of the week, specify the number of hours available represented by this schedule.

Start Time

For each day of the week, specify the time at which the work day begins.

Regular Work Week (hours)

Use this field to specify how many hours a resource may be scheduled to work before overtime rates apply. A value of 0 or 168 indicates that overtime rates will not be applied.

Work Week Starts On

Use this field to specify which day of the week starts the work week.

Exceptions

Exceptions represent gaps in the regular work schedule. They may be assigned to a specific resource while editing the schedule data for that resource, or they may be assigned to a schedule, resulting in an exception which applies to all resources using that schedule. Exceptions are excluded from expense reports.

Exception List

As exceptions are added to this schedule, they will be shown in the exception list. An exception may be removed from this schedule by clicking the associated delete icon within the exception list.

Edit Exception

Click this button after selecting an exception in the Exception List to open the dialog for editing an exception.

Add Exception

Click this button to open the dialog for adding an exception.
