Overlays are image or text elements placed onto a template in a project from the main window. They can be positioned, resized and rotated.

You can use your mouse to right-click inside the project viewer to present several options for overlays. These options will have similar behavior to the Cut, Copy, Paste, and Delete buttons found in the edit menu. See: Menu reference

Text Overlays

Text overlays each contain text of any length.

To add text to your label, click the Add Text button on the main window toolbar. A text overlay will appear on your template with the word [Text] in black. Click the text overlay if it is not active. You can tell that the text overlay is active when you see a either a solid or a dashed black box around it. Once active, you can begin to edit your text via the Text Properties panel in the right sidebar. This panel only appears when a text overlay is active. See: Text Overlay Properties for information about positioning, rotating and resizing your text overlays. You can convert a regular text to a curved text by checking Curved Text box which can be found in Text Properties panel. A curved text has the same properties as a regular text except that it supports top and bottom alignment only. To convert a curved text to a regular text, uncheck the Curved Text box.

The Select Background Image(s) window will open. Navigate to and select the image that you would like to add, then click the Open button. Your new background will appear on your template.
